The development and diffusion of digital technology is creating important new ways for people to read, write, communicate, gather and analyze information or data, produce and share knowledge, and learn.  The Digital Learning Lab was established by Mark Warschauer to design, investigate, and promote new forms of learning making use of digital media both inside and outside the classroom.
